Big City caters to long-term relationships by providing a high-end experience in the culinary arts with intimate V.I.P dinners, corporate events, and wedding ceremonies.
“Big City is focused on providing quality not quantity,” proudly states Tom Pokorny, Owner and President of Big City Catering. “We cater to clients who can tell the difference between good food and great food!”
“What sets us apart from the competition is the personalization, the cuisine, and the boutique style catering,” explains Tom. “Our food is authentic and our cutting edge presentation is second to none. Our service is exceptional. Most of our regular clients have been loyal to us for more than 15 years, and yet we continue to make new “believers” every day.”
Big City caters to over 300 full service weddings every year! We distinguish ourselves from the rest with our venues. “We are particularly pleased to be considered a preferred vendor at many of the top venues in Orlando,” confidently states Tom.
“We have invested in Luxmore Grande Estate, a one of a kind facility nestled in the heart of Winter Springs. We have renovated the mansion and transformed it into the perfect wedding venue that offers a luxurious setting,” says Tom. “We offer First Class Service with one of the largest and most beautiful Bridal Suites in Central Florida.”
“From small meetings to conventions, Big City Catering can create a themed selection to match perfectly with our client’s corporate event,” states Tom. “We work with our clients to source the best venue and location for their event. We create a menu that will satisfy guests with the most discriminating palate. We take care of all the logistics with audio/video equipment and furniture rentals in order to provide the best entertainment. We are the first to arrive on-site and last to leave, all to ensure your event is spectacular and flawless.”
Impact on the Local Community
In 2004, Florida got hit by four hurricanes in five weeks. Big City Catering prepared over 14,000 meals to help Floridians who were affected by the hurricanes. “We prepared over 1,000 meals overnight,” remembers Tom. “We were there to help our local community.”
For three consecutive years, Big City Catering has hosted the Camp Mann Charity Event at Cypress Grove Estate House to support the fight against cancer. “We recommended a $10 donation to attend the event and encouraged attendees to be onsite bone marrow donors,” explains Tom.
VoiceOnyx Caters to Big City
“When my in-house hosted PBX provider was acting up, I decided to look for a new VoIP service provider,” remembers Tom. “Our florist recommended looking into VoiceOnyx. I was immediately hooked by their offering and by their valuable free features. At Big City Catering, we love using the Voicemail to Email feature. We never miss a call even when we lose power. Plus, I get to forward messages and delegate responsibility right from my phone, talk about efficiency!”
