VoiceOnyx knows how important it is for your business to be able to quickly reach your clients using your office phone system. Your favorite VoIP service provider offers three effective ways to quickly reach your contacts according to your privacy settings.
Speed Dial Directory
The Speed Dial Directory is set up in the Polycom Phone Directory folder, right under the main menu. You can store up to 100 contacts using the phone keypad. You can easily create a new contact with as little information as the first name or the last name and the phone number. More fields can be entered such as the title and the email address. The contact number can either be an external phone number, such as a cell phone, or an internal extension.
All information recorded in the Speed Dial Directory is completely private and cannot be accessed via another Polycom or through the company’s central database. This privacy feature ensures the confidentiality of your clients’ information.
Buddy List with Presence Monitoring
Favorite numbers on the speed dial Buddy List are shared with all Polycoms in the company. All employees can quickly have access to the most popular internal extensions, such as the tech support technician or the owner of the company.
The Polycom integrates your colleagues’ extensions as part of your Buddy List. You can easily determine the best time to contact colleagues who are part of your Buddy List via the Presence Monitoring feature. Team members are not available to speak with you or able to receive a transfer call when a red line is displayed next to their name.
It is also possible to add external phone numbers as part of the company’s Buddy List. VoiceOnyx can create an extension that rings an external phone number, such as a cell phone number. This phone number is now part of the company’s shared Buddy List, although it is impossible to assess their availability via the Presence Monitoring feature.
Redial is available by viewing your recent call history, which indicates the first 100 outbound calls from your extension. Your outbound call list is also private, thus limiting your colleague’s access to your client’s sensitive contact information.
